A little words after final cut

As the invisible man that beyond the film production, I would like to give our film sequence <Hidden> a general conclusion.
First of all, we have chosen horror genre as our final exam title for our portfolio.
At the very beginning, out primary thoughts and initial idea of out film sequence was quite various and creative, we have collect all the possibilities and ideas together and made a mind map, eventually we have came up a mature idea and story that consists of various elements such as mysterious killer, supernatural touch, etc.  Our primary title of the film sequence was <Trap> or something like this, but eventually we both agreed that <Hidden> is a maturer and more attractive name compare with <Trap>, therefore we have change the title.
And afterwards, we have gathered all the chosen elements and initial ideas to make a script and storyboard. At first, out story is pretty mature and maintained a huge amount of narratives in that, at that period, the four of us were all part of the film sequence, but then, an unpredictable accident occurred to our group, one of our important partner craig has dropped out the college, therefore we have only left three people in our group, so the storyline of our film sequence must be changed.
At the production period, even more problem has occurred to us, first of all, the weather condition is absolutely horrible, we even have to shot the film under the rain sometimes, which is a really unpleasant experience, also due to the lack of preparation and organisation, our shooting schedule has absolutely fall behind, therefore in the actual production, we decided to cut out the character of chantelle and only keep shaun and me in the film, also due to the bad weather condition, we have deleted a huge amount of storyline and makes our film more simple and profound (also much shorter than we expected).
But after all, we all agreed that we did a fine job over here, we have overcame the bad weather condition and the lack of group to shot the film, and we have basically expressed what we initially want to expressed within out film, and we did a really good production work to cover the shortage of the filming, anyway we have all cooperated and work as a group successfully, and that's the key thing for a film production.

The production of our soundtrack

This is the basic process of how we found our soundtrack. We tried finding royalty free music on the website recommended by the college blog, however we didn't find one that suited our sequence.

Filming dates

On the 5th me Shaun, Craig and Elliott met up at college and after that we went out filming, we filmed for about 2 hours however the weather conditions did not help. we got around about 30 seconds done and started editing. In future we eed to be more prepared as we found out when we got their we didn't have all the right equipment and props we need, we were missing a hammer and a gun and certain mise en scene, which we will definitely pick up on the next time we film.
Me Shaun and Elliott competed numerous tasks today, one including making a word document with images of some costumes and makeup also some editing for our rough cut took place for our friday 8th rough cut deadline.

Recce Shots

Recce shots from ecss1

The recce shots were basically setting shots of were we are going to film, here we are in the outskirts of the burn-valley which was perfect for our film as the setting is quite mysterious.

Makeup used
